6 features of optical cable
Optical cables are manufactured from an outer cover of a single, multiple optical fiber, or an external combination of optical fiber beams that serve as an indicator of optical characteristics, environmental performance, and a cable structural entity suitable for mechanical properties. There are mainly belt structures, bound structures, skeleton structures, and twisted head structures. In the 1980s, it was slowly applied to long-distance routes and gradually began to use a single-model fiber optic cable. Over the years, cable technology has developed in a long-term and stable way.
1 Characteristic of optical cable
Compared with the copper cable so far, the transmission effect of optical cable is very large.
(1) Wide bandwidth, large communication capacity. The broadband that can use fiber is about 500 GHz, and 1-IOJb /s network transmission is very simple.
(2) The loss caused is very low, and the relay distance is long. The loss caused by the use of optical fiber transmission is very small, and for trunk distance, the cable is longer than the cable.
(3) Optical fiber is an insulating material with strong resistance to electromagnetic obstacles.
(4) There is no interference called crosstalk and it has good secrecy. Light waves can be simply transmitted through optical fiber cables, which rarely leak.
(5) The wire diameter is very thin and easy to lay.
(6) By using optical cables instead of cables, a considerable amount of metal materials can be saved.
